SALT Direct Care is not an insurance plan. We do not bill insurance and there no co-pays. All visits and most procedures are covered under your membership. You can use your insurance for labs, medications, and diagnostic procedures but our wholesale prices are likely more affordable. Insurance is not required to become a member at SALT Direct Care but it is recommended to have a low-cost, high-deductible plan for unexpected medical services such as surgery or hospital stays.
Our membership is not insurance and therefore does not cover any third party services (consults with other specialist, hospital care, medical equipment, labs, imaging). When referrals are needed we are your advocate and will help guide and support you.
Our DPC membership is separate from our specialized programs but they are discounted for our members.
As we are licensed providers, we are able to refer to specialist and send prescriptions which should be covered if medically necessary and approved by your insurance. If you are unsure of coverage with third parties it is best to contact your insurance for more details. If you are uninsured we will assist in directing you to lower cost options for medications, diagnostics, and labs as well as specialist that offer cash pay discounts.
Yes, we work with small businesses to create an employer sponsored program for employees which helps save both you and your employees money. Our goal is to keep you and your employees happy and healthy with timely access to healthcare when you need it most.
Yes. You can request a price list at the office or contact us with questions. We are transparent with our pricing so there are no surprise bills.
We are easy to reach and ready to help. We can discuss symptoms and make recommendations for next steps, as well as call in prescriptions as needed.
Yes, we are available by phone for urgent questions and concerns after hours. If needed, we may also meet you at the clinic over the weekend. You can book online appointment anytime and if you cannot find a spot to fit your schedule, send us a text so we can accommodate you. For non-urgent concerns, you can send a text or message through patient portal and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Yes! You do not need to be a member to join our specialized programs. You will have direct access without the constraints of insurance-based systems.

Yes! The federal government has approved the use of HAS funds for Direct Primary Care membership fees in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act. When you enroll as a patient at SALT
Direct Care you can choose to enter your HAS payment information instead of a credit card or bank account.
